Families may apply for Free or Reduced Price Meals for the 2025–2026 school year beginning Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
ELANCO School District makes it easy for families to apply online through SchoolCafe. Applying online is fast, secure, and allows the Food Services Department to process applications more quickly than paper forms.
Families must submit one application per household each shcool year, even if your child qualified for free or reduced meals in a previous year. Applications are submitted electronically to the Food Services Department for review and processing.
Students who qualified for benefits the previous school year will continue to receive those benefits for a limited time at the start of the new school year. However, a new application must be submitted by October 2, 2025 to continue receiving free or reduced-price meals. If a new application is not received by this date, students will be returned to full-price meals status until a new application is approved.
Students approved for free or reduced-price meals may receive a complete reimbursable breakfast and lunch meal each school day.
Please note: If a student has a negative meal account balance prior to qualifying, the household remains responsible for that balance.
