The children in Brecknock Elementary School are like the "Gold at the end of the Rainbow." It is a thrill to see their happy and smiling faces each morning. Each child comes with varied backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and ambitions. What a beautiful blend; like the colors of a rainbow.
Our faculty and staff strive to make a positive difference in the lives of the students and pledge to uphold the mission statement of Eastern Lancaster County School District which states the following: "We dedicate ourselves to helping each person understand and act upon his or her responsibility to be a productive citizen in a changing world. In partnership with family, business and community, we commit ourselves to providing an environment in which all persons have the opportunity to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes that prepare them for a life of continuous learning. We will encourage creative thinking, problem solving and the pursuit of a vision for a better future."
This year our enrollment is around 535 students. It is amazing how flexible and creative each one of our students continues to be while working hard to be a successful & responsible citizen.
