On June 27, 2006, the Governor signed Act 1 intending to deliver school property tax relief to Pennsylvania homeowners. Among other provisions, Act 1 requires school districts to form Tax Study Commissions to contemplate a Spring 2007 ballot question to significantly change the school district revenue system that currently relies on property taxes.
In this section of the district web site we will post relevant materials for the School Board, staff, parents, residents and property owners of the district to review as we navigate through the required actions of Act 1.
We invite you to attend and participate in the scheduled public sessions and offer input once the guidelines are established. As always, please feel free to contact the staff of the district to address any questions you may have.
