The Coordinated School Health Council is planning a Mini Relay for Life scheduled for May 22nd, 2008, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the High School Stadium.
We encourage parents and siblings to join your ELANCO students and teachers in teams up to 15 individuals to help raise money for the American Cancer Society and to participate during the event! The community is encouraged to attend and to donate to the teams. All ages of students and their families can participate. The evening will be filled with fun events, entertainment, and activities while we all work together to help find a CURE!
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature event. It is a unique event filled with several fun activities. What a great way for the community to come together to fight cancer. A member from each team must be on the track at all times. The other members of the teams will be able to get involved in stations as well as activities taking place in the stadium. Members of the community may also come to observe the event. We welcome everyone to come and support our goal of fighting cancer together.
Some of the events planned are an opening ceremony, a luminaria ceremony, survivors lap, special theme laps and entertainment. Please recruit a team and set a team goal. Each team will receive a participants' packet with detailed information upon sign up. We would love to make this a successful event. Please plan to be a part with your family, or group of friends. Share fours hours of your life for a moving worthwhile experience.
